Optical biometry system which gives fast and accurate measurement of IOL power. Various advanced IOL calculation formulas and wide database of IOLs make it possible to calculate accurate IOL power even in complicated cases like post- Lasik patients , patients with posterior staphyloma etc.
Axis II Biometry system (Quantel Medical)
Ultrasound biometry with non contact method is an accurate method of IOL power calculations. It is of immense help in difficult cases like mature cataract, complicated cataract etc.
TMS-4 ( Tomey )
Corneal Topography system used for measurements of corneal curvature and aberrations. It is employed in patients suspicious of having corneal abnormalities.
PHACOEMULSIFICATION is the most modern micro-incision technique of cataract surgery, where in an ultrasound probe breaks the cataract into tiny pieces and sucks them out. The incision (about 2.5- 3mm) is self-sealing and needs no stitches. The surgical time is reduced and there is faster healing and visual rehabilitation. There is minimal or no post-operative discomfort and a quick return to normal routine. Once the cataract is removed, it is replaced with a permanent, artificial Intraocular Lens (IOL).
The Centurion Vision System features a peristaltic pump that doubles the available flow rate and eliminates the small pulsations typically associated with peristaltic pumps, according to company literature. Its Active Fluidics technology is designed to optimize chamber stability by providing more consistent IOP over a wide range of aspiration flow rates by detecting flow rate, irrigation pressure, and vacuum and compensating for pressure loss.
