CATARACT TREATMENT IN NASHIK

A cataract is the most common cause of blindness in the world. In the majority of patients, it is fully reversible. At Dr. Bapaye Hospital, our qualified doctors use the latest technology to not only reverse blindness but give perfect spectacle free vision.

The perfection in cataract surgery starts in the outpatient clinic by obtaining perfect measurements of the eye and selecting appropriate Intraocular Lenses (IOL) for each patient. We use combinations of various modalities to achieve the task.

We are the 1st NABH audited Eye Hospital providing Best Cataract Eye Surgery in Nashik with ultramodern facilities.

PHACOEMULSIFICATION is the most modern micro-incision technique of cataract surgery, wherein an ultrasound probe breaks the cataract into tiny pieces and sucks them out. The incision (about 2.5-3mm) is self-sealing and needs no stitches. The surgical time is reduced and there is faster healing and visual rehabilitation. There is minimal or no post-operative discomfort and a quick return to normal routine.

Once the cataract is removed, it is replaced with a permanent, artificial Intraocular Lens (IOL).

LENSES FOR CATARACT

Types of Cataract Treatment lenses - Bapayeeyehospital

NON-FOLDABLE LENSES

These are made of hard PMMA material and so require the incision to be extended to about 5mm. These lenses are used very rarely nowadays.

FOLDABLE LENSES

If these are used the incision remains small. The acrylic material is well-suited to give best post-operative vision and comfort.  Dr. Bapaye Hospital offers a whole range of Imported and Indian foldable IOLs to give the best results without causing a burden on the patient’s pocket. To reduce dependency on spectacles and give the best possible visual outcome modern designs like Accommodating lenses, Multifocal lenses, Toric lenses, Toric multifocal lenses are also available. Multifocal lenses give spectacle-independent vision for long distances, intermediate distance (so strongly recommended for computer users) and reading distance. Toric lenses eliminate inherent astigmatism and give the patient even better spectacle free vision than he had before the cataract developed.  Dr. Bapaye Hospital offers all these state-of-the-art options to the patient with expert counseling as to which lens is best suited for each individual patient. There are many happy patients who spend a spectacle independent life after surgery at Dr. Bapaye Hospital.

To ensure the best possible results, Dr. Bapaye Hospital has the IOL Master 700 for accurate calculation of IOL power to ensure spectacle independence post-operatively for distance vision. Specular microscopy is done to predict corneal weakness pre-operatively and enable appropriate precautions to be taken to ensure a safe cataract surgery. Dr. Bapaye Hospital is the proud owner of the state of the art phacoemulsification system “The Centurion”, which is one of the best systems for excellent results. Cataract surgeries in the hospital are done personally and exclusively by Dr. Bapaye to guarantee surgical expertise to complement the state of the art equipment.

The Centurion Vision System features a peristaltic pump that doubles the available flow rate and eliminates the small pulsations typically associated with peristaltic pumps, according to company literature. Its Active Fluidics technology is designed to optimize chamber stability by providing more consistent IOP over a wide range of aspiration flow rates by detecting flow rate, irrigation pressure, and vacuum and compensating for pressure loss.
